A weekend with " It's begining to look a lot like Christmas"

Helloooo..

Well I am finally coming out the other end of the crazy bust month here in the Miller household, which means I can finally sit in front of the computer while watching Miniscule ( sheesh I love that show- do your self a favour and you tube it- seriously I get a giggle everytime) and catch up on loads of blog posts!!

I have managed to squeeze in some crafting time - which just makes me so happy!!

So today I just wanted to share with you a couple of cards that I made for Christmas. I want to make all handmade cards this year - my first time- and thought I better start early.. So I dug out my new BoBunny  "Candy Cane Lane" collection and my awesome new Couture Creations dies and got playing. Now I am new to the world of dies ( yes I am late.. I know) so have really enjoyed playing around and seeing what I can create. So let me show you my first card..

This card was based on the Couture Creations Metal Doily die ( Splendour die from the Treasures Collection" )  that actually also cuts out the insert. So to me I instantly thinks of wreaths and Christmas when I use it.

Now if you know me I have a litte thing for wreaths which you can see HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE . I never ever get tiered of them and thought I would create a mini wreath on this card for my garden loving Grandmother- in- law.. Is that what they are called :-/

Any who I used a very simple flower die , again from Couture Creations and simply pinched the petals so that they would stand up a little . I then went around each of the petals with the Glitzin' glamour that I also picked up from Couture Creations. I also used an embossing folder for the very first time to run the die cut leaves through it.. Sheesh I LOVE it!!

I finished of the card with a classic BoBunny metal brad and dragged out my typewriter to create the itty bitty banner.

I only used my 6 x6 BoBunny Candy Cane  Lane paper pad to create these cards, and that is another reason why I have fallen in love with dies!!
So easy to whip through my cuttle bug :)

For this next card I actually used the inside cut piece from the Doily Die in the first card as the basis to build another flower.

I am hoping that I will get to play some more with these dies to create more Christmas cards. Perhaps I will scraplift these cards and just create them a different paper collection..

Thanks so much for stopping and AGAIN thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment either here on my Instagram account.. I LOVE reading them so very much..

Till next time
Much love

Bernii xx
