A weekend with " 6 - BoBunny stamps layout- with a mini tutorial"

Helloooo..

Well today I have a layout over on the BoBunny blog , showing you how to use stamping in your layouts. For this particular layout I used the new Enchanted Garden collection and lots and lots of blooms..

So if you would like to take a peek at my process scroll down below..

I did forget to take more pictures of the process, but you will get the idea :) I am working on trying to get videos of my process to you real soon..

I firstly gathered up some supplies that I thought I would use and took my inspiration from here first..
This is a picture of my

I then wanted to incorporate pops of colour to the back ground , so I cut different  pieces of scraps from the Enchanted Garden collection and adhered them randomly to the back ground .

I then gathered my gesso and foam paint brush. I find using the foam brush gives me more even control, and spreads the gesso thinner than using just a pint brush. I also pulled out dome matching paint and will use that a little later on.

As you can see I have lightly painted the background with some gesso and even added some book paper that came in the ephemera pack. I simply used Modge Podge to adhere that down.

Then it's time to add some stamps to the back ground . I used 4 different coloured ink pads to help create a little dimension in some parts. I then decided to add my blossoms now at this step, as I was starting to over up my stamp work. So after adding the blossoms I then went around the page again adding more stamp details.

I then added some ink splatters around the page, and then I also added some stamp images of paint splatters for more controlled "splatters" around my blossoms.
This is the time I also added in the gorgeous pearl accents!

I then really didn't like the dark splatter in the top left corner of the page, so I decided to cover it up with some blossoms.. I then also added a little cluster to the bottom right of the page, to even the page out. I also at this time grabbed my purple paint and old credit card and smeared some of the paint to the layout.

As I love colour, the brighter the better, I wanted to add something a little more to this layout. So I added just two yellow petals from the blossoms range too two parts of the page and I love how it adds a little more interest.

Thanks so much for taking a peek into a little of my process. I am hoping to bring you more very soon and am trying hard to master the art of video recording.. If you would like to know which products  I have used then be sure to head on over to the BoBunny site.

Till net time

Much love

I decided to use my Heidi Swapp " Dreamy" collection to complete this sketch.. I am not sure what is going on at the moment, but I am really liking working just within a collection. I never used to be like that!! Perhaps it is the easy of having everything already matching , and takig out some of the guess work.. In any case I LOVE this collection and am so pleased I got to scrap this precious photo of my two babes.

A weekend with " BoBunny - Mini Album"

Helllooo..

Well today I though I would  share with you a little BoBunny mini album I created for The Scrap n Patch my local scrapbooking store here in Toowoomba.. I used the Pincushion collection , which is mainly a tangerine, mint and chalkboard colour theme! I also used a packet of BoBunny Pincushion noteworthy pack in the album.. And that was it really.. I pushed myself to used only a few selected items and I love how it turned out!!

Now this is photo heavy as I included so much in this little album..

So grab a coffee and lets take a peek.

I just love the lumpy bumpy feel of a mini album!!

This page has a pocket attached to the front, and inside of it I created a little mini accordion style mini, to hold a few more pictures and journalling.. ( yet to be finished)

I then created a few of these enveloped using a full 12 x 12 page.. this also is a place to hold more photos..

All I did for the insert below was attach a card to the back of a 6 x 4 photo with some seam binding tape..

I made en effort also for this album to use up some much older  thickers that seem to be growing in my stash!!

I created another pocket again below and this time created another accordion style mini album, although this time I used a tag as the front of the album .

I also added in a few of the BoBunny noteworthy tags here to act as little interactive pages..  The varying heights and widths adds interest to the album..

Lots of handmade pin wheels also.. sigh.. I love pinwheels ♥

I also created this see through page, using some of my older Hambly transparencies that I had around.. That is another collection that I find hard to use .. as I know once I us it it will be all gone :(

I created this tiny mini album to go into the next envelope , to house photos of all the presents from the day.. That was I could also note down who the gifts where from also. Not necessarily exciting to display directly in the main album, but still great to document.

I then took inspiration from Heidi Swapp and created my own photo stack to the back of the album..

I love that I could add in so many more photos in such a tight space!!

WOW.. that certainly was a lot to trek through!!

So as you can see I really stretched my products to create this album. In all I used 5 12 x 12 "Pincushion" papers, 1 pkt pincushion noteworthy, 1 transparency, seam binding tape, sequins and a few paper doilies.  Then just used some of my older thickers to create titles through out.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I LOVE to read to your comments..

A weekend with " Basic Grey - Spice Market "

Helloooo.

Today I wanted to share with you my latest published Scrapbooking Memories Masters challenge using the new Basic Grey Spice Market collection.. You can see it in Vol 16 No 12.

This collection is full of fun embellishments including these super cool metal pieces!! I have never seen anything like it ( except for earnings) so was excited to try then out on my page.. I found the best way to adhere them was either with my tiny attacher or some E6000 glue.

I loved mixing up geometric shapes, with floral patterns and scattering little love hearts through my ink droplets.. I love doing that :)

A weekend with " BoBunny - Lemonade Stand - Week 11"

Helllooooo

Well I have another Misc Me share this week, this time using the fun and bright BoBunny - Lemonade Stand Collection ..

Misc Me- By Bernii Miller

I love the versatility and the vibrancy of the Lemonade Stand collection. Not only does it lend itself to bright summery fun photos, it is also great for my day to day Misc Me spreads and for this week's post I wanted to share with you my week 12 layout.

Misc Me- By Bernii Miller

This particular week was an eventful week for our family and I really did not want to cull any of the photos. So to accommodate the extra photos I modified one of the plastic sleeves and created an insert to house all the extra photos. I simply trimmed new BoBunny 12 x 12 Misc Me page protector down to create a smaller instert, and this is what the new protector looks like with the Misc Me cards instereted.

A weekend with " Dream - watercolour layout tutorial"

Helllooo

Well today I thought I would share with some what of a tutorial of a class that I taught at my local scrapbooking store. When I was asked to teach a layout I decided I wanted to create something in line with my masters "Adore" layout. I LOVED making that layout and totally loved the bright colours and rainbow effect. So "Lovely Dream" was created ...

The layout was fairly simple to piece together and the longest parts were waiting for the watercolours to dry entirely before starting the next colour. It is so important that you wait to do that to make sure that no colour bleeding or mixing occurs.

So lets get started..

For all of my watercolour layouts I always do some sort of gesso stencil in the back ground. This is for two reasons.. 1. to stop the card stock from warping  2. to add a little hint of extra interest in the background.

I then used my freckled fawn light bulb stamp with my waterproof ink.

Then it was time to play with my watercolours. I use the children Crayola paint set. I find that the colours in the set are vibrant , and dry truest to their wet form. I find that holding the brush losses in my hand is the best way to allow the colour to "flow".

Then once the colours were all dry I grabbed out bits and pieces from my collection that would co - ordinate well with each colour.

I then mounted my photo with some foam tape so that I would be able to tuck in some of the elements snuggly around the photo.

Then it is just a case of adhering all the elements to the page. This is the best bit as you can really dig into your tub of left over bits and pieces and use them up .. you know the pieces your were saving for later.. for some reason or another..lol

And that is it.. So super easy and so much fun!! The possibilities are endless especially if you have lots of different larger stamps that can be used in place of the light bulbs.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please if you have any questions or me about any of the steps leave them in the comments and I will be sure to answer them for you :)

Till next time
 Much love
