Scrap the boys June challenge

Well, it seems I am on a roll and have managed to make another layout using the June A piece of cake designs, and I can't believe  that is has taken me this ling to complete my very first LO of Hunter...

So to help me get this first LO complete I used the challenge over at Scrap the boys. Here is the task:
You need to create a layout featuring your boy(s) helping others, you also need to use paint on your layout!

I love working with challenges and am finding that I am completing more Layouts this way too ♥

Handmade by Suzanne sketch challenge

Well I made it. It took me 6 months, but I made it..:)

Last year I was very lucky enough to  meet a gorgeous lady, with a loving heart , generous soul and beautiful nature, and I am so very lucky that I can call her my friend..
(If you want to take a peek at who she is head on over to here to check her out.:)

So any way we made an agreement at the start of the year, that we would get back into scrapbooking his year  as we both have to little boys , at the same age, and NOT ONE page made about either of them.. tut tut !!!So to help us get back into the swing of things we decided to participate in the monthly sketch challenge over at Handmade by Suzanne.. Not hard right?? wellllll lets just say that  the first sentence sums it up..lol..

So here is the LO finally.. using the gorgeous June kit from A piece of cake designs . This time I found it a little challenging as this is not a usual color palette I would use.. so loved the fact that I could still make something from the kit (that just shows how well these kits are put together..:)

Memory Files ♥

Well I am a HUGE fan of Heidi Swapp , so much so that when I found out that she was launching a new range , I bought up BIG time  :) ..
Heidi has launched a new product range called "Memory Files" at this years CHA.. And as soon as I clapped eyes on it , it was true love. Sugar Chic, No limits and Color magic (I think) are the 3 lines that she has released. I am hoping that with all my heart and soul that she will release more in the future.

So scrapping with this AMAZING collection is a breeze as all the coordinating elements just work so well together. Best part about this new line , is that I can now scrap the events that have a ton of photos to go with them. I have been tossing up for a while about how to tackle my ever growing pile of photos , that had numerous shots of the one event.  A  mini album has been my back up option, but then again you can only fit so much in those also. So instead my pictures have just been sitting in the box, tucked away in my cupboard!!!

So with my new Sugar Chic range in hand, and a pile of photos that I love of my husband and daughter, I created a memory file that I managed to squeeze 34.. yes 34 pictures into!!! how awesome is that??  So here is the end result!!
Front cover of the memory file, using the ever pretty Sugar Chic range from Heidi Swapp ♥

This file was soooo easy to put together ans makes me smile knowing that I was able to get in so many of my favorite photos in there ♥  Now this file is off to be stored in its pretty little file organizer, also made my Heidi Swapp, and no longer in my cupboard ♥

Oh my sadness.. First my beloved Sassafrass lass closes down and now Harry Hambly has also pulled the plug!!! I love the brightness and bold patterns that both these companies were so well known for.. At least a blog hop might help to heal my broken heart just a little ♥

"A piece of cake designs" and some Cyber Cropping

Well, a couple of weeks ago I took part in my first ever Cyber Crop over at Scrapboutique to help me get out of my Scrap booking funk.  It worked as I managed to create 3 LO's in one weekend using the GORGEOUS May kit from A piece of cake designs . If you have not seen the kits , you really MUST. They are so well put together that not getting a gorgeous LO together is impossible..

So for the first challenge to the weekend a Speed Scrap challenge was assigned by Leanne based on this sketch .
Well, let me tell you, the kit that I had on hand lent it self so well to this sketch that I managed to pull off my first LO in over 3 months (eeekkk) .. But this was my interpretation ♥ I also managed to try out my new Mister Hueys white mist that I picked up from Sassy Scrapper.

Saturday was kind to me .. Hubby was home so was able to tame our rug-rats as I squeezed in some more scrapping.. Bless him.  So first off was Chelsea's Challenge where using up scraps was our task.. Sooo I Hunted around my desk and found the off cuts from speed scrap LO and managed to use those scraps up, and this was the end result . ♥ Now for this LO I used inspiration over at the "A piece of cake " blog. (Remember I have been out of the game a while , so need a little nudge ;)

Then lastly I had Karen's Challenge to conquer. Here is a list of the requirements:

My challenge to you is to REDUCE REUSE and RECYCLE!

I would like to see you:
Reuse - something that has been used before eg. concert tickets, receipts for recent purchases, shopping bags
Reduce - your stash by using at least 4 pp and 3 different alphas
and
Recycle - a scrap related item eg. packaging, tissue paper or twine that scrap supplies come wrapped in, pizza boxes.

Phew.. what a challenge. Annnndddddd here is the LO..

I even managed to win this challange.. high fives..

I had such a BLAST taking part and feel so very lucky to have been supported and encouraged by the ladies over at Scrapboutique. I am now looking forward to the June Cyber Crop and am now more than ever keen to get back into my love of scrapbooking ♥
