Helloooo..

Welcome to the very last Tuesday of the year!! ha ha ..

I just dawned on me that I have so much I wanted to do before the year was out!! I guess now is the time re asses those goals and see how they can be achieved next year!!

Well today I wanted to share with you a quick layout that I created with a not so great photo.. This photo is grainy and a little on the darkside, but I love it!! It is so us!!! Lying on my bed watching some TV until someone starts with the funny business..

Documented layout by Bernii Miller using BoBunny Rose Cafe collection.

When the Rose Cafe collection was release from BoBunny a little while ago I fell in love with it's versatility!! From the same collection I created THIS layout and THIS one in the other colour hues..
Love it!!

So I stuck with the same colour hues from the photos and went a more pink and brown feel...

A weekend with " I ♥ Adventure - Layout for BoBunny"

Helloooo ...

Well last week I shared a layout over on the BoBunny blog and today I wanted to share it here with you all.. The team over at BoBunny were lucky enough to team up with Leaky Shed Studio Chipboard company to create layouts using their new Snowflake borders and Snowflake chippies..

At first I started with a 12x12 layout and then decided to add on a Misc Me spread to create a double page layout :)

I love Adventure layout by Bernii Miller using BoBunny Altitude collection.

As everyone in the Northern Hemisphere is getting warm and snug as the cool weather sets in, here in Australia we have had the hottest Spring on record and now getting ready for another sweltering Summer to celebrate the Festive season. So when I received the gorgeous snowflake chipboard I was a little stumped as what I could do.. But then I had the fun idea of taking some Christmas photos with my children and creating a wintery scene with the stunning Altitude collection.

This new collection is just stunning!! I just adore the colour purple and it is teamed with gorgeous auas and different hues of purple and works so beautifully teamed with the BoBunny Silver Glitter Paste.

That is actually what I used to alter the chipboard pieces. I firstly used the Sugar Glimmer Spray to coat the chipboard a few times. Then using the Silver Glitter Paste I used a cotton tip to add it randomly over the snowflakes. To finish off  the snowflakes I used the new Silver Pearlescents to add little highlights to some of the snowflake joints.

I just adore how this whole layout came together and loved it even more that I could use snowflakes on my layout without a snowflake in sight here where I live. It just goes to show with a little thinking out of the box and the awesome versatility of the BoBunny papers I was able to make a layout capturing and recording a sweet moment with my children.

A weekend with " Week 19 - Project Life"

Helloooo

Popping in to share with you a new Project Life layout I made using the brand new " Be Bright" project life cards by Becky Higgins that I picked up from my local Spotlight store..

Week 19 -2014 Project Life layout by Bernii Miller using the Be Bright collection by Becky Higgins.

The cards in this pack had me at the gold glitter.. It is almost on each of the cards.. You can see it a little better in the picture below..

The pack of cards teamed perfectly with the MAMBI gold glitter " Chips" which I sprinkled over all the layouts, along with these adorable Studio Calico chip hearts.. I just adore them!!

Again I created an insert with this weeks layout.. I find it hard to cull the photos and would much rather include them all.. Especially like the top left hand picture.. Abigail loves our chickens and had created this little circle out of rocks to help feed the them. Love it and so sweet.

A weekend with " My Dad and his YouTube "

Helloo..

Well the Christmas festivities are done for another year - phew - as much as I love Christmas it always seems to be the busiest time of the year for me , so it is now great to really relax between now and the new year.. I am taking this time to literally stop and do what I want to do.. Right now the children are with their father on a holiday out west so I have the whole house to myself for the next few days..

So I am doing a major Project Life catch up as I would love to try and start 2015 with as little left over from this year..

So while I am catching up I am also checking out different videos on Youtube and wanted to share the videos from my very own Pappa Bear.. Yep my 60 something year old father has ventured into the YouTube world and creating short little videos on how to paint..

I grew up watching my father paint and I love how he has lived a totally creative life. His father ( my grandfather) was also an artist so I guess being creative is just in my blood! I love it..

So I just wanted to share with you some of his YouTube videos as I am so very very proud of him..

Watching these really makes me want to kick my self up the butt and make some process videos of my own!!

Well done Dad!!

Till next time

A weekend with " Rainbow Connection Project Life"

Helloooo ..

WOW it is Christmas Eve.. That is all I am going to say about that ha ha..

Well I am sharing today over on the Scrappy Canary blg my Project Life Spread using the  December Rainbow Connection Pocket Life kit .

This is my second layout with the kit, and this week I even managed to slip in an extra insert to house all my extra photos!!

Week 34 with Bernii Miller using the December - Rainbow Connection Pocket Life kit by Scrappy Canary.

I decided to keep the title card pretty plain this time around , as I just wanted to desperately fussy cut all the flowers out and have that as the major display. So I simply added the dates from the start to the end of the week and called it done.

I also used the extra embellishment kit Lucky Star !! That is where all the gorgeous Amy Tangerine overlays are from and the Heidi Swapp Buzz stickers.

Then here is the extra insert that I also created for this weeks spread. It is relatively simple as I am trying to add less bulk to my layouts, as I am already on my third album for the year..

I still have enough left over to create one more spread I think! So I think that is what I will try and complete today while  I wait for the big red man to come down the chimney tonight..

Merry Christmas to you all

A weekend with " Wild Storm + Open Scrapbooking Window = well you know what!! "

Helloooo..

Well yesterday we were hit by a storm here in the evening.. All day it was incredibly hot so I gathered up the kids, went to Target to buy a slip n slide and then headed into my sister in laws place to let all the kids play together to get some relief.

They had a blast..

My gorgeous Niece Chloe.. She rides the slip n slide like pro!!

My son Hunter just loving the ride!!

My girl.. Abigail.. If you now abby then it would make sense why she is going down it this way :)

My nephew Linc looking super cute ..

Then the clouds really started to roll in so it was literally a race to get home before the rain kicked in.. Well I got about half way home and it was pouring down rain , and it was literally raining side ways!! The wind was so gusty..

Then I realised I had left the window right above my Scrapbooking desk open..

Oh Lordy.. please have mercy on my scrap gods!!

I was trying to not think about I was about to get home too !!

But I got home and saw this!!

Yes I know I have a lot of stuff on my desk - but I need it all you know!!!

I nearly slipped racing in there as the floor was just a pool of water also..

My desk was saturated!!!

....Sigh....

So what I learnt is that there is no point in hyperventilating as that really does not help..ha ha.. Instead I grabbed a beer from the fridge a heap of towels and took it as a sign to clean my desk and de clutter .. So I have tossed a heap of " stuff" from the desk and love how much better my space feels already with less clutter...

I have managed to kinda save the layouts on my desk.. They look a little warped but at least the photo and the journaling is still there..

So next time I need to make sure that I close the window when ever I leave the place especially in the summer time when storms are more likely to hit..

Thanks so much for stopping by..

Till next time

Much love

A weekend with " Week 18 - Scrappy Canary Kit"

Hellloooo there....

Today I wanted share with you my Project Life spread with you using the latest December - Rainbow Connection Pocket Life kit from the Scrappy Canary store.... This kit is SO FUN!!! i shared this yesterday over on their blog :)

Full of Heidi Swapp papers and teamed with the cutest Evalicious puffy stickers and many other little treasures!! The kit also came with a full packet of the Heidi Swapp color magic alphas...swoon....So I decided to use some of them just as is and coloured the others with my Colour Shine Inks.

Project life spread by Bernii Miller for Scrappy Canary using the December Rainbow Connection kit.

To help keep the alphas in place I sewed through them . But just a tip.. wait till the alphas are fully dry as they become soft and a little weak when they are still damp and can move when sewn through.  I found that out the hard way!!  And I also noticed that the ink smears over the page and lifts off the alphas if they are not fully and completely dry..yikes..

Again I used all the 6 x6 papers to create all the background papers in my layout. I love doing that as it adds so much colour.
I also used my vintage typewriter for the first time to complete my Project Life spread and had fun figuring out how to use it. I learnt also this week to adhere the photos AFTER typing..lol.. I accidently ended up putting tiny marks in into one of the photos from trying to jam it through the typewriter roller..lol.. so lesson learnt.

Here are a few close up's for you to take a peek at.
As you can see underneath the LV 5 title is all a little askew as I did not wait till the thickers were totally dry and they moved as I tried to sew them down..

A weekend with " December Daily"

Helloooo...

Well I have another instalment of my December Daily album for you today using the STUNNING The Stamp Spot Documenting December kit..

If you read my first post HERE then you would know that this year I am doing different take with my album. I am sticking to all black and white photos and just sticking to the gold accents just from the kit!!

I am LOVING what I have so far and love it even more that I can use less than perfect photos still in my album.  Take the photo of Hunter below. It is a quite a blurry shot , but having it in black and white has meant that the photo is still useable..

December Daily with Bernii Miller using the Stamp Spot Documented December Kit.

I created this little banner with the gold glitter card that was in the kit..  it was a leftover strip that I did not want to waste so I snipped it up and created this!!

December Daily with Bernii Miller using the Stamp Spot Documented December Kit.

I have also been use a white Posca pen to write directly onto some of my photos.I find that they are the best and run smoothly all the time.

December Daily with Bernii Miller using the Stamp Spot Documented December Kit.

The next page also was pulled together really fast and I just LOVE it!! I have taken some photos of decorations around my house and I love the look of it in the black and white. I was really worried that it would look silly and lose is sassiness not being in colour, but I think in fact it does the opposite. It brings more attention to the details.

December Daily with Bernii Miller using the Stamp Spot Documented December Kit.

I am using numerous alpha sets in this album , but I am totally addicted to the Sticko Gold Foil stickers.. They are so shiny and adhere so well!! AND they are really cheap from The Stamp Spot.. so a total win win.

December Daily with Bernii Miller using the Stamp Spot Documented December Kit.

To create the card below , I just used up some of the washi strips from the kit into a chevron pattern. Super simple and a fast way to create an interesting background.

Well thanks so much for stopping by today and e sure to check back often as I have managed to snap a few photos of my album as it is on progress :)

Till next time

A weekend with" Today is Right"

Helloooo

Well the festive season is in full swing here in the Miller household- which means I  have had less time at the moment to sit down and get blogging!!  Luckily I have had snippets of time to sit as my desk and get some scrapping done!!

So today I wanted to share with you another layout that I create with the Amy Tangerine "Stitched" collection for the The Stamp Spot. I have loved playing with this collection so much and Michelle still has these available in the store HERE

I also made another two layouts with this same collection which you can see HERE and HERE

Today is right layout by Bernii Miller using Amy Tangerine Stitched collection for The Stamp Spot.

This layout is just full of left over pieces all layered together , that I had from the other two layouts that I created.

I just adore the thickers that Amy designed and they are are a perfect match for her collection and I am trying to find any reason to use them in all my layouts lately..
