Well I have been on a little scrapbooking hiatus.
I have had so much happening in my personal life right now. Somethings and events that have totally thrown me for six.
So it has had me thinking A LOT about the priorities in my life, along with my scrapbooking.
When I started scrapbooking I started because I wanted to capture and remember the special moments in my daughter's life. But then I very quickly became addicted to the dark side of scrapbooking.. lol.. I KNOW you all KNOW what I am talking about!! The brand new releases that seemed to be bigger and better than the last, and then within those releases all the new products that I just HAD TO HAVE and in every which colour way. Before I knew it I wasn't scrapbooking instead I became a collector of scrapbooking product. This went on for a long time. But then about few years ago I decided to jump back in as I had a renewed love and passion for this awesome hobby! I have managed to find a group of ladies that are " my people" who encourage me and in both my scrapbooking and my personal life.
I have been so incredibly lucky also in my "Scrapbooking Career" so to speak.. I have been privileged to work for companies that I adore as a designer, have taught ladies that share the same passion and have also become a Scrapbooking Memories Magazine Master back in 2013.That for sure was a HUGE highlight for me!!
But like somethings in life we can take on to much and need to find ways to peel it back a little. Somehow scrapbooking has become that for me. So I stopped blogging, stopped scrapbooking, stopped teaching ,jumped off social media and gave up a couple of my design team commitments.
So I have now had a few months off and I can honestly say that my approach to this craft that I love so much has changed.
I am back to scrapbooking and creating because I want to - not because I have to!!
I am just free to create and play..
I also now am only designing for the amazing company that is BoBunny.. My scrapy home for almost three years!!
So with all that said, I would love to share with you today a BoBunny layout I made with the gorgeous Enchanted Harvest collection . As soon as laid eyes on the Enchanted Harvest Butterflies paper,I knew instantly I wanted to fussy cut the butterflies out.

I also used the "Rough it up" stamp from BoBunny to help create the background. I stamped first and then with some water colour I went over the top of the stamped images to blend them in some more.
I love this collection and cant wait to show you what else I have made from this stunning collection..
Thanks so much for stopping by
Till next time
Much love
Bernii xx
Hi Bernii! I saw your page over at Paper People on FB so thought I'd swing by. I really like the water colours and stamping in the background and all the butterfly's seem perfectly placed. The black splot's of ink are cool too. Did you fussy-cut each butterfly out of the Bo Bunny patterned paper? I actually work at a scrapbook store in Edmonton, Alberta and your style would fit right in! Cheers
ReplyDeleteHi there Kelly.. Thanks so much for dropping by and I am so grateful you like what you see :) Yes the butterflies are fussy cut from the Enchanted Harvest collection - and the paper is called " Butterflies"..xx
