A weekend with "Polly! Scrap Kits" catch up.

Holey Moley..

Talk about a long absence from my blog.. a month to the day (almost).

I have had a ton of personal going ons in my life which has kept me from my favourite craft, and even at one stage had me not wanting to look at a single scrapbooking item.. YIKES.. luckily for me .. and with lots of kicks up my own butt , I am now out of that dark period of my life and I have a new vigour and happiness which is being reflected in me creeping back into my scrap room. Too make it easier too I have a heap of gorgeous Polly! Scrap Kit main and project life kits sitting here waiting for me to play with . I tell you what Ruth makes it super easy and fun to pull together a layout with the gorgeous goodies she puts into each and every kit.. So I played with the November kit which is still available right now in the store HERE

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Maggie Holmes Flea market range so I dipped right into those papers to start off with , and decided to scrap an older photo of my husband and I from a couple of years back and I love how it turned out overall..

It was a darker than normal black and white photo, so I have been holding off for a while to scrap it till I found the right papers to go with it, and these papers were perfect.

Lots of paper piecing and fussy cutting which I just love.

I love adding the little details such as these hearts in amongst the droplets.. If you look close enough 99% of my layouts always have these little hearts.

I have loads more papers still left over from the pack so watch this space ..

Till next time

Much love
Bernii xx

  1. Love your layout and the use of gold. TFS !

  2. I'm glad you are feeling better :) Love love love the Maggie Holmes things you used and how you fussy cut the flowers all around - pretty!

  3. Such a pretty LO. The colors definately lighten up the photo and make it stand out.

  4. Beautiful LO! Everything about it is just so lovely. I especially like how you've fussy cut the floral paper - the soft curves really help to soften the overall design. And those spray mist hearts are adorable and sweet.

  5. oh wow! I love your fussy cutting and this kit is divine!! Thanks for sharing your blog link with me..x

  6. Hi Bernii. I've popped by from the link you left on Leanne's FB page. Your work is gorgeous :).

  7. Great layout! I love the maggie holmes collections are well. Glad you are back!

  8. Beautiful! I think these colors were the perfect ones to use with a dark black and white photo.
