A weekend with " My Star layout"

Hellooooo.....

I stuffed up this layout..

Yup

I started off this layout  with a crisp white background. I was loving how it was going and how all the bright colours well just working so well together.
But then when I stood back towards the end of the layout, it just needed something a little more.

Sooooo

I decided to add a little light grey watercolour towards the outer edges of the star.. I really didn't like the look of it.. it was just so blah....

So I tired to fix it!! hmmm this is where is went down hill for me ...

The grey edges stood out way to much so I decided to colour the whole background instead to try and make it blend.. I am still not sure if that was the right thing to do. But it is done now.

So to try and help blend in the background a little more I splattered around some of the grey Studio Calico ink..

I am thinking now that it is not so bad and the more that I look at the photo of my little star, it makes me smile and utterly happy. That has to count for something right ??

Well thanks so much for stopping by...

Till next time

Much love
Bernii xx

  2. Hi Bernii. I'm new to your website and loving your work. Great idea using the stars in that way. Sometimes I find boy pages a challenge!
