Welcome Scrappy maidens to my little part of the world..
So glad you could pop in for a little peek..
Well Today I have a layout share for you that was both a labour of pure love, a balls up (for lack of a better term) and in the end a layout I love.. phew... When I first created this layout ( yes you read right) I printed, poked holes, watercolored and even stitched half the layout - to only have it pointed out to me that I was missing words form the quote..lol.. sooooo I had to start all over again.. but that's ok as that meant that I could show you how I created this layout form the beginning.
So I am loving the stitching on layouts trend at the moment.. and I love it even more so that I can incorporate another love of mine in this craft.. embroidery.. I decided to give this a go when I was watching an Erica Thompson youtube video for her #sanrica2016 videos.. It was her Try it Tuesday video and I decided to finally try this technique using the watercolours and stitching..
So let me show you what I have created and I have even included a process video at the end of this blog post where you can feast your eyes on the first layout and then this one lol.. enjoy my balls up ha ha
I based the colours in the stitched title on the My Minds Eye " On Trend 2 " collection which I nabbed from the Scrapping Clearly store HERE. I was totally inspired by Paige Taylor Evans to create this layout when i spotted one of her recents layouts with a huge title just like this..
I have scrapped this picture before but I have this quote hanging in my room and I could not think of a more perfect picture to go with the title, so I had to scrap it once more.. It is by far one of my most fav pictures of the kids and I .
Well thank you so much for stopping by today and I have added in the process video below :) If you like what you see I would love for you to hit the like and subscribe button xx
Till next time
Much love
Bernii xx
