Well a little while ago I was asked to guest design to my BoBunny design team members new etsy shop. Julianna from 17turtles.com has just recenelty opened her digital cut file store and it is full of adorable and useful files that she designs herself.
I was of course immediately drawn to the Lace Flower background and knew that I wanted to create a cool 3D effect with a 6x6 paper pad that I had been hoarding here for some time.
I do not own a 12 x 12 cutting machine as much as I would love too!! But the space I have here means I only have a 8 x 11 one which really is more then enough for me. When I see 12 x 12 background that I love and must have I simply cut out two backgrounds in the 8x11 size and then I overlap them to create my 12 x 12 .. so simple.. So that is exactly what I did with this layout.
Although instead of covering the whole background I made it cascade a little to show the background by only a smidge ..
I had so much playing with paper on this layout and creating all the flowers.
To create the flower stacks I simply used the Lace Flower cut files and cut them in two different sie in plain white cardstock. I left these white as I wanted them to stand out. You can see the itty bitty flowers that I managed to make and used them as the centre of the flower before using up some of my older fabric covered brads!! such a win win when I can use up older stock!!
I then used my cuttlebug with some Couture Creations dies that I seem to not get enough off lately!!
I even used the new BoBunny Glitter paste to add a little sparkle to end of the flower petals. I just love that new product and love how fast it dries also..
I am finding that I have to sew through the little Jillibean Soup alphas as they tend to life right away..

Well thank you so much for stopping by and please if you have the time and are interested in new cut files then make sure that you head on over and check out Juliana's new etsy shop.. I promise you will find something in there that tickles your fancy..
Till next time
