A weekend with " Creative Scrappers Sketch #277 reveal "

Helllooooo..

Well today is another sketch reveal day over on the Creative Scrappers blog!! And I LOVED playing around with this week sketch!! 

The layout that I created was totally inspired by the new Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014 September Challenge. The butterflies that he used on the tag had me thinking about how I could use that for a layout  instead.So it was for this layout that I decided to sprinkle butterflies in place of all the triangles that were on the sketch layout ( and then some more) .

So let me show you more of my interpretation of the sketch!! 

I have been playing around with crepe paper ruffles and loved teaming it with the Heidi Swapp black and white patterned paper, for that fun and bright contrast. 

I had so much fun creating these water colour butterflies with my Martha Stewart punch!! I used clear gesso as a base and then sprinkled chunky silver glitter on the tip of the wings for a little extra prettiness ♥

 I am really happy with how this layout turned out, and loved just using basic materials to complete the layout!! 

I managed to pre make more crepe paper ruffle strips ready to play with on more layouts, so I suspect they will become a little obsession of mine..
